The AfrEA International Conference happens every 2 years and is organized by the Africa Evaluation Association. This year 2017, the 8th AfrEA International Conference was held in Kampala Uganda at Munyonyo Common Wealth Resort and aimed at promoting exchange between researchers, academia, emerging evaluators, and practitioners on demand and supply of credible evaluative evidence in support of the SDGs in Africa. It also built delegates’ capacity to design, manage and use evaluations to help Governments achieve their national and international development agendas, particularly around the SDGs and the Africa2063 Agenda.

In line with the above objectives, Lida Africa submitted a comprehensive Workshop Paper that was warmly accepted entitled “Strengthening M&E Data Management and Analysis capacity Using Microsoft Excel” under the “Made in Africa Evaluation Strand”

On Wednesday, 29th March 2017, Lida Africa was honored to conduct this half-day executive workshop at the 8th Africa Evaluation International Conference in Kampala, Uganda. This workshop aimed at strengthening the data management and analysis capacity of delegates in regards to the use of M&E data. The training focused on practical analysis of data using PIVOT tables, charts and using advanced functions like SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS & COUNTIFS for analysis. The workshop attracted 65 participants from 23 countries with nearly 70% coming from Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Tanzania & Nigeria. Other countries represented included; Algeria, Botswana, Burundi, Canada, Ghana, India, Italy, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan & United States of America.
